Hey Readers! This is the first post of our 4 part series on a beautiful self! Well, the first step to achieving a beautiful self is definitely learning how to deal with all your insecurities!
We all have
our insecurities. This is undeniably true. Whether it is the common acne
problem, being too short, fat, tall, skinny or simply being unable to achieve
your ideal body, we all face some of these problems at some point in our lives.
These problems cause our self esteem to drop even lower.
How are we
ever going to overcome our insecurities? Fear not. Today, here are some tips to
overcome these insecurities to make yourself a more confident person. After
all, confidence is the new sexy.
1)
Realisation
Accept the
fact that life might be unfair. The sooner you accept the fact that what you
currently have is all that you have, the better. However, it doesn’t mean that
you can’t do anything about it. Things might change. You might grow taller.
Your dieting may allow you to lose several kilos. Your acne problem might
recede eventually. All these are possible. But what matters currently is your
willingness to accept your current situation.
Even if
things do not change, you have every right to be proud of yourself for trying.
Results are only possible when you accept reality and act on it which brings me
to the second point- Running the race at your pace.
2) Own time,
own target
Don’t let
other people define the way you live. Don’t feel overly jealous and miserable
just because the guy or girl next to you has a nicer figure Sure it’s okay to
want to desire a body like Vin Diesel or a Victoria Secret model.
But what’s
important is that you remember who you are and that your diet or exercise
routine is made just for you. You run your own race and the only target you
want to reach is at the end. Ignore those around you who seem to be able to do
better than you at everything because they are not the role model you had
initially aimed to be like. You are uniquely YOU.
How would
you know that you are pursuing what you want properly? The answer is simple. If
you ever feel stressed and never being good enough, then you are obviously
doing it wrong.
The truth of the matter is that there’s always going to be
someone better than you. And there’s also going to be another person better
than that someone. What matters most is that you do what’s comfortable for both
your mind and body and at a suitable pace.
3) Act on it
You give
your time and make sacrifices in some parts of your life for it.
Likewise, if you have
a desired body that you want to achieve, you have to dedicate yourself and be
determined to achieve it.
At the same
time, do remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day. It takes time to reach
objectives. Do not resort to extreme methods but do it the natural way instead.
Have proper meals.
Exercise regularly. The same thing applies to your insecurities- you can’t get over it overnight and neither can you change it instantly.

Remember, molding yourself into some truly beautiful on the inside takes time. Meanwhile, Simply enjoy the process!
But how do you exactly make yourself become a better person? Stay tuned for the next post!
