A Call For Help

Dear beloved readers, Thank you all for taking the time off to visit our blog and read our content. Over the past week, this blog has seen a significant increase of readership in our content. Thus, beside smiling gleefully with the needy for a picture whenever a camera is place in front of us, we have decided to make use of this wide readership to be an avenue for the less fortunate in Singapore. Whether it is a financial or health need, our team of 5 can only bring happiness to a handful of people who are desperate need of help. However, what our team CAN do is to bring about the awareness of those who have been forgotten and neglected so that whoever needs our call for help may want to step out of their comfort zone with us and aid those in trouble.

HELP FOR THE HOMELESS

Project 4650 was a project held by the multiple agencies in 2010 to help resettle the homeless. To date, over 300 families have benefited from this project which included Mr mohd azezy mohd ayub, who was living in a van with his family of 7 in a park. He now lives in a 3 room flat in bedok, with help from the multi agencies involved through this project.
Despite these efforts from both government and non-profit government organizations like touch community services, their area of coverage is unable to reach out to all those who are in need. There are still homeless people living around in parks, beaches and void decks. Thus, it is imperative that we make an effort to reach out and help our fellow singaporeans who require assistance in having a roof over their heads and a meal at the table.

How can you help?

Not sure of how someone like you can help the needy? Here are 2 ways that you can!

1.     Make a donation

Non-profit organizations such as the salvation army, touch community services and many more are willing to accept any amount no matter how small. Below is a list of some of the non profit organizations that you can contact to provide financial aid to the less fortunate today:

·        Food From The Heart (ffth)

·        The Salvation Army

·        Touch Community Services

2.     Food packages

Even though these people already have a roof over their head, donating food hampers to these still go a long way for them! If you have the time, feel free to drop by these three mcys sanctioned homeless shelters with your food packages:

Remember, your contributions are highly valued no matter how big or small. It's not about the quantity you put in. It's the quality of the heart to step out of your comfort zone to help others that counts. We appreciate the time you took to read the post.

X,
Tippers on life
